Last night, Heath Ledger won a well deserved Oscar for best supporting actor as the Joker in "The Dark Knight". Heath Ledger's mother Sally Bell, sister Kate Ledger and father Kim Ledger accepted the award on Heath's behalf.

The award will be given to Heath's daughter Matilda Ledger when she gets older.

Ain't It Cool News is reporting that the actors chosen to star in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus are Jude Law, Colin Farrell and Johnny Depp. DROOL!!!

If you recall, Heath Ledger was filming this movie when he passed. Heath will still be in the movie and the other actors will be playing a sort of tribute to him. The movie is looking at a 2009 release and I can't wait!

Heath Ledger's death was caused by acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine it has been confirmed today. It's also been confirmed that the death was accidental.

For all of you who aren't pill heads out there, I'll explain the pills briefly.

Oxycodone and Hydrocodone are prescription pain killers, you've probably heard of Vicodin - that's hydrocodone.

Diazepam which is also known as Valium, temazepam which is known as Restoril, Alprazolam which is Xanax are all anti-anxiety meds, they can also be prescribed for insomnia. Doxylamine and like the others can be prescribed for sleeping.

Let this be a lesson to educate yourself and be weary of combining that many pills, in this case anti-anxiety, sedative pain medications.

Michelle Williams has finally released a statement regarding the death of her ex-fiance, Heath Ledger.

It reads: "Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day. His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up with the best memories of him."

People are STILL drudging stuff up about Heath Ledger's "sordid" past.

This time, Us Weekly is going more in depth with the story and telling never before heard details.

Heath Ledger's battle with alcohol and drugs was so harmful to his relationship with Michelle Williams that she tried to get him to enter rehab, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

For three years, Williams was a firsthand witness to the gifted actor's use of alcohol and drugs, including cocaine, heroin and "a variety of pills," says a Ledger confidant.

In March 2006 – just weeks after the couple walked the Oscars red carpet and when daughter Matilda was only five months old – Williams drove Ledger to Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California, the confidant tells Us Weekly.

Ledger refused to check in, instead swaying her with a pledge to clean up.

Even after the couple realized "they were in way over their heads," according to a source, and split in September 2007, two sources tell Us that Williams demanded Ledger be drug-tested before his visitations with Matilda.

When news of Ledger's death broke last Tuesday, Williams was inconsolable. "She cried and screamed as soon as she heard," a source on the Swedish set of her latest film, Mammoth, tells Us.




UNTIL the toxicology reports come back, all we can do is speculate. I hope for Heath's sake that things come back clean and his name and legacy can be cleared.

TMZ is reporting that Heath Ledger may have died from natural causes. Although it is rare for a healthy 28 year old man to die like that, sources close to the investigation say his heart may have just stopped.

A less reputable source is reporting that Heath was snorting cocaine the night before his death and that he may have forgotten that he already took his sleeping pills therefore causing an overdose.

I'd trust the first story more than the second but we can only speculate for now. The answers will come in a few short weeks!

Reports saying that Lindsay Lohan planned to hook up with Heath Ledger this weekend in New York are seeming more and more true! The actress was born in Long Island but spends the majority of her time in Los Angeles. LL was in no mood to be photographed as she emerged from a Manhattan restaurant with friends, only to find herself surrounded with paparazzi.

You have to love the product placement. Although Lindsay Lohan denies having an endorsement deal with Ariva, an anti-smoking supplement, she carries it around like it's a Balenciaga bag!

If you can recall, at the time of Heath Ledger's death, he was working on a film called "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" which was directed by Terry Gilliam. Heath's death obviously threw a wrench in the whole thing and the whole crew was fired. Now it's being reported that Johnny Depp will take Heath Ledger's place in the film.

It saddens me that Heath just died and they are already trying to replace him. It just goes to show that at the end of the day, Hollywood is just a cold and heartless business.

Just a day after her friend Heath Ledger passed away, Ashley Olsen looked as happy as a clam at a Marie Claire dinner party in New York City. Homegirl is looking rough, I could see the rings around her eyes from miles away! I think Mary-Kate Olsen is really turning out to be the prettier troll.

While many of us are still shocked over the tragic death of amazing actor Heath Ledger, I'll condense all the news and speculation regarding him and his death into one post.

The New York Post is reporting that Heath Ledger and Mary-Kate Olsen were dating. That explains why his maid called that number on his cell phone. Mary-Kate reportedly went over a few body guards who arrived at the same time as the police. Heath was pronounced dead at 3:36 PM. The autopsy on Heath Ledger came back as inconclusive and toxicology tests will be coming back within the next few weeks.

A former assistant to Naomi Campbell is claiming that Heath and Naomi did drugs including cocaine and ecstasy when Heath first burst onto the scene. It should be noted that this was several years ago.

Heath's ex-fiance Michelle Williams and daughter Matilda arrived back in New York yesterday. Out of respect for the family, I am choosing NOT to post pictures of Michelle arriving to the Brooklyn home they once shared because it is obvious that she is going through a rough time.

Heath's family is insisting that the actor did not commit suicide, sources say that while he was depressed, he probably just combined too many different medications.

In news that is absolutely shocking, it is being reported that actor Heath Ledger was found DEAD in his apartment this morning. His young daughter and family are in our prayers.
